IT’S A NEW DAY!

The sky is a beautiful blue, and the sun is shining. I take a moment to take in a deep breath and observe this glorious morning.

This COVID 19 Pandemic has evolved into something I have never seen in my lifetime. Every morning when I open my eyes, I feel blessed to see to a new day. I become aware that I am alive and able to start again. Perhaps, different than how I felt when I went to sleep the night before. Feelings of uncertainty, fatigue, and unknowingness circle my thoughts as I hope to fall asleep. I ask God, my higher power, to relieve my stress, and allow sleep to come.

I realize that this pandemic is beyond belief, without an end date ahead. In other words, this is one of those life events that is beyond imagination and is truly unacceptable. Americans’ death rate from March 2020 to May 2020 has reached close to 89,000 dear souls.

How do we accept Life on Life’s terms when we face our worst-case scenario? Can we muster the strength to be available for ourselves, our spouses, our families, and our friends? Is it even possible to restore ourselves enough to go to work if we have a job? Is work a safe place? If not, what should we do?

Who do we believe in our Country when we were told that Americans had sufficient testing, and we find out that the Asian countries have far surpassed The United States?

Gathering strength from within, and from our own spiritual source can help us manage our pain and sense of deep uncertainty. To question and seek answers is part of being human. It helps us come out of the darkness and into the light.

Talk to each other, seek spiritual guidance through meditation, and prayer.  Know that with utilizing these suggestions or tools, we can help ourselves break the pattern of isolation from others. Look for spiritual and or psychological support groups They help during challenging times! Reach out and connect when you can.

A new group is starting soon for those first responsers who are feeling the effects of the COVID-19 crisis. For More Information Contact Lisa Sharf
